Dear Me: You Are Still Becoming

Dear Me: You Are Still Becoming

, par Alicia Snorton , 1 min temps de lecture

Dear me,

I know you thought you would have everything figured out by now.

You thought life would feel more settled. You thought the prayers would have answers by now. You thought the version of you that survived so much would finally get to rest.

But even here, in the middle of the unknown, you are still becoming.

You are not behind. You are not broken. You are not too late. You are learning how to carry yourself with more grace. You are learning how to stop apologizing for needing time. You are learning that healing does not always look beautiful while it is happening.

Some days, becoming looks like getting out of bed.
Some days, it looks like not responding.
Some days, it looks like crying and still choosing to try again.

You have survived things that tried to silence you. You have smiled through seasons that deserved your tears. You have kept showing up, even when your heart was tired.

That matters.

So today, breathe. Give yourself credit for the quiet strength no one clapped for. Give yourself permission to grow slowly. Give yourself room to become without rushing the process.

You are not starting over.

You are starting softer.
Wiser.
Stronger.
More honest.
More you.

With love,
Me
